This guide describes rules and mechanics actually available in the Blefuj game.
An online party game is one you open in your browser and play right away, with no app to download. Blefuj is built exactly for that: one phone, a few seconds to start, and the whole group pulled into the fun.
What a phone party game is
It's a short, social game you play together on a single device. You don't need a board, cards or a separate phone for everyone. The phone travels around the group or sits in the middle of the table while the game walks you through each step.

- Set players and a category, then pass the phone around.
Match the settings to your group
The single biggest lever on fun is matching the impostor count and pace to your group size, a game of 4 plays nothing like a game of 8. Instead of guessing, use the ready-made setups.
An example quick game
Six people, the Food category, the word “ice cream”. Clues in turn: “in summer”, “on a stick”, “cold”, “sweet”, and the impostor tries “in a cone”, hoping to fit the vibe. The round takes two minutes; after a short discussion the group names the impostor, and immediately starts another with a new category.
Common mistakes when starting
- Over-explaining the rules, play the first round as a trial.
- Too hard a category to open with, start universal.
- Showing your role screen to a neighbour, keep the phone to yourself.
- Playing in noise with no set order, agree who starts.
Safe categories for playing together
For openers and mixed groups, universal, uncontroversial categories work best, e.g. Food, Animals, Travel, Home or Nature. Save the harder, party-flavoured sets for later, once the group finds its rhythm.
